Queen Gallery is accepting submissions to the 50/50 show.
All artwork must be 20” x 20” (including frame, if work is framed) and artists can submit up to three works. Art must be dropped off on Tuesday, June 29th between 11am and 5pm or Saturday July 3rd between 1 and 4pm, along with the signed contract and a short biography plus $10 deposit. The jury will review the work and the jury’s decisions will be emailed Saturday July 10th. If the work was not selected for the show, it must be picked up on Tuesday July 13th between 11am and 5pm or Saturday July 17th between 1 and 4pm, along with the $10 deposit.
The opening reception will be Sunday, August 1st 2010 from 2-6pm and the show will run from August 1st to 8th. Each artwork will be for sale for $350.00 plus 13% HST and the gallery will take a 50% commission of each sale.
Unsold artwork must be picked up Tuesday, August 17th between 11am and 5pm or Saturday August 21st between 1pm and 4pm. Any artwork that is not picked up by August 21st will become the property of the gallery. Cheques for sold artwork will be available for pick up Saturday, August 21st 2010.
The 50/50 Show Details
All artwork must be completed, ready to hang (including professional backings and hanging equipment) and in good condition. It must have your name, title and medium printed clearly on the back and an arrow to indicate which direction is up (unless, of course, it is ridiculously obvious). The artist must sign all artworks.

Artists participating in the exhibition will have the opportunity to win one of two prizes generously provided by Aboveground Art Supplies ‘The People’s Choice Award’, and ‘Best in Show’. Get ready to cast your vote!
